UK Vape Brands Partner With Professional Motorsport Champion

The world of vape supplies has gotten a little bit faster as disposable vape brand ZOVOO and reusable vape company VooPoo has announced sponsorship deals with British Touring Car 

Championship driver and former British Endurance Champion Will Powell.

ZOVOO, known for the Dragbar line of products, announced the move ahead of the 37-year-old driver’s run at the historic Silverstone race circuit as part of the BTCC.

It is a fitting partnership, given that Mr Powell himself used vaping products to help quit smoking in preparation for a somewhat surprising debut behind the wheel.

Initially, Mr Powell was not a race driver but instead a road tester for Autocar and other magazines owned under the Haymarket umbrella, before working in media production and performance vehicle marketing.

This led him to found Motus One in 2016, a marketing agency that eventually added a racing team under the Motus One Umbrella.

This led him to a somewhat late start to his racing career, which he quit smoking to be a part of, winning the Brands Hatch Into the Night Race and demonstrating considerable potential, becoming a full-time driver in multiple series in 2020.

Whilst that season was disrupted, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as he would win the British Endurance Championship in 2021 for Motus One Racing and start his career in the prestigious British Touring Car Championship.

It has admittedly not been the best of starts for his team, officially known as Autobrite Direct with JourneyHero but generally known as Team HARD, with a top finish of 21st with five retirements, but given the unpredictable nature of BTCC and his career in general, there is a chance for a resurgence.

Meanwhile, Will Powell has credited vaping as one of the factors that allowed this surprising career to happen, as it enabled him to break a long-term smoking habit.
